Jamie and Aaron by Michael Durr

My cousin Jamie and her new husband Aaron proclaimed their vows at Top of the Pines in Ridgeway, CO on July 14, 2018. I could not imagine a more perfect backdrop for this adventurous couple. Although there was a little rain during the ceremony, Jamie and Aaron took it in stride as I am sure they have done on countless treks in the past. As Jamie said, rain on your wedding day is good luck. Below you can watch the video that shows just how amazing this ceremony was. Just after the ceremony, the clouds parted and it was a beautiful night for their outdoor reception in Ouray, CO at The Secret Garden. I was happy to be apart of this amazing event and to be able to witness a love that is truly unique. I wish Jamie and Aaron the best as they continue to hike their way through life.

Love you both,

Michael

Special Thanks to Alexi Hubbell Photography for providing me images to include in my video.

Also, because I have an inability to put my own camera down I captured some images from the event as well.

Megan and Gus by Michael Durr

Megan and Gus were married in Napa Valley and had their traditional Greek ceremony here in Chicago at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. They ceremony was very intimate which made it a unique experience for me. It was a beautiful church and they are an amazing couple. I feel fortunate to have witnessed this amazing ceremony. Congratulations Megan and Gus!

Ami and JM by Michael Durr

It was an absolutely incredible day for a wedding in Chicago. The location at 190 S Lasalle was incredibly elegant and a lot of fun to shoot in. It's not every day you can photography a couple in front of a window with the setting sun and Sears Tower in the background. Ami and JM are a perfect match. It was an honor to capture their special day and I wish them health and happiness in the future.

Drew and Sharon by Michael Durr

One of my favorite parts of shooting any wedding is seeing all of the personal touches the bride and groom use to make their wedding their own. Drew and Sharon's wedding was truly unique. From Sharon wearing her mother's wedding dress to Drew's engraved hatchets the day was filled with personality and detail. Drew and Sharon are an amazing couple and it was an honor to capture their special day. They made a gorgeous bride and groom and I felt like I was with a bunch of close friends throughout the day. Blumen Gardens was an incredible venue and the weather was perfect. I wish them both health and happiness in the future.
