Gold Coast Art Fair / by Michael Durr

I had the opportunity to check out the Gold Coast Art Fair this weekend. Clearly, I go to these art fairs to gawk at photography and see how mine stacks up with other artists. There was an insane amount of great art work, but one that stood out to me was the photography work of JJ Johansen. I chatted with him a little and I found his style hilarious and visually interesting. Another booth that stuck out in my mind was Jolyn Hecht's booth. Her theme of shooting neon signs made for a very cool looking booth. Some other photography work I felt worth mentioning was Scott Fischman's cityscapes, the nature photography of Timm Chapman & Steve Keating, as well as the texture and color of James Cole. Also, check out a few summer moments of my own from my Sunday biking trek around the city.
